Winfixer again.

It installed itself on my pc and I used Mcafee to delete it. Will it actually be gone or will it still be lurking. I ran a full scan and nothing else came up.

Run a HijackThis log and post it here , I'm sure Nelli2 or one of the other experts will come along and take a gander at it for you.

I think I got it in time. As soon as it popped up I closed my browser and quarantined then deleted it.Then I searched for anything called Winfixer in my drives and shredded them. No problems so far.
Im unsure about all these anti-spys for I had Spybot in my old laptop and it became a real problem when it came to installing McAfee and to get rid of.I wound up with a none working computer (thankfully I convinced the retailer it was faulty to begin with and got a full refund)!
McAfee was quick to warn me though.
