Windows/MSN Messenger & XPSP2

  [email protected] 20:40 06 Dec 2004

For some time I have used both Windows or MSN Messenger to video call my daughter in NZ. We both have the latest versions (ie Windows Messenger 5.0.0482 and MSN Messenger 6.2.0137); I run Windows XP and she has Windows Millenium. It all worked well until I installed XPSP2 on my PC. Now we can no longer video, only talk.
Is there any cure please

SP2 locks your computer down with the Windows Firewall. To allow Messenger through go to Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall

On the Exceptions tab you should see Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger with ticks next to their names, if you don't click Add Program, find them in the list and add them.

MSN should now work.
