Windows XP won't boot up in Safe Mode or XP CD

My desktop was working ok last night, but when I've gone to use it now, it won't boot into Windows - it just stalls half way through the Windows XP logo stage.

I can't boot in Safe Mode, nor have the option of Repair XP from the System CD that came with the pc. When I tried to repair from CD, it didn't give me the option, but just advised that the partition was either full, corrupt and I had to reformat HDD.

It doesn't help that I have a Raid setup on my D Drive (2 x 250GB HDD working as a 500GB hard drive).

Is there any way I can restore my machine without losing any data on Windows or Raid hard drives.

Thanks in advance.

Matt
