I have a PC running Windows XP Pro and it wont boot up. Befor it gets to the login screen it will go black with a list of options. Which ever one I choose it will reboot and come up with the same menu. Any Ideas??

Have you installed anything? do you have an XP installation disk?

  Luca M 17:31 14 Dec 2003

no i havent installed anything. I do have the disks but when i put it in it asks for an adminastrive password that i dont know. Also this problem started when i went on the net for around 30 then it blacked out. When I turned it on again the trouble started

A full XP installation disk will not ask for an administrative password whilst its loading.

when it boots up and you come to the list of options, try the one that asks for confirmation of every step, and see what it hangs on. had a similar prob which was caused by a faulty mem stick.
