Windows xp wireless network

Hello all,

I have a pc running win xp pro on.

I have a wireless modem/router with a good broadband connection.

I have just got a laptop with a wireless network card.

I set up with the "set up a small home or office network wizard' on the pc.

I have shared a folder in my documents on the pc.

I then turned on the laptop which is connected to the internet through the wireless connection and attempted to 'find' this nework by using the 'add a netork place' wizard. no trace of the network that i set up can be found, let alone the shared folder I created.

Any ideas? I suspect it may be something to do with the wireless network or the router mmmmmm not to sure.

I look forward to receiving some help

cheers again
