Windows XP Themes

  sibaw 13:41 08 Aug 2006

I am trying to save a new theme, but although I can change the settings and select wallpaper etc, they appear on screen OK, I can't save the theme to any directory.

This only happened when I added new software - not connected with themes - from Canon.

I removed the software but still can't save themes.

I rolled back the settings to yesterday when everything was Ok, but that made no difference

I am stumped.

What happens when you try and save it, is there an error message?

No error message, it makes the changes OK but won't save the name I give, it simply keeps the name that is already there. The themes are stored in windows/resources/themes. In safe mode I have deleted this and rebooted. It still would not let me save, worst still it would only allow classic views. There was no selection for XP. So I undid the delete and am back to square one. I can't save the theme to any directory at all, it simply wont' accept a change of name
