Hi, i have a problem on Windows XP Start UP, the PC runs through the normal process and then fails when about to load the windos xp screen for the first time.

If I switch off the pc (from the on/off switch at the rear) and start the pc again it boots normally and advises that windows was not shut down properly etc.

Choose use windows normally and it boots up fine.

Have also chosen use last known good configuration but this has not helped.

Any ideas on how to diagnose and repair would be great. Thanks

Thanks Stalion, I have run this twice now and no errors were identified. Is there anything else I could try. Was considering a registry fix tool?
