Can anyone advise if they have used this site to configure XP services.click hereAnd if so with what result. Thanks
I haven't used that particular page, but I have followed advice from Black Viper before with no problems.
very knowledgeable and useful site which has helped me out before.johnnny.
The SAFE options are always ok to use as are the default, its a matter of going down the list and seeing what you need,i dont know if all the things listed will be on your pc though.
The link you query is probably the best and most knowledgeable provided on configuring Windows Services.
That's just what I wanted to know
I went for the SAFE option and it does appear to have made a small but noticeable improvement. So far so good.
Just leave RPC alone and do not touch!
RPC should be set to Automatic in Services.
It is set to automatic. Thanks
