Windows XP (Professional Edition)

I have just upgraded to "WindowsXP" from "Windows98" and every time I boot up I get the follwing message:-
Can't run 16-bit Window System

Insufficent memory to run this application.Quit one or more Windows applications and then try again.

I just close it down and carry on with my work as up to now it has not effected any thing I am doing.Any suggestions and how do I get rid of it.

Looks like the remnants of something from Win98 is trying to startup, dawes. Check msconfig and your startup folder, see what's in there. Start > Run, type msconfig, click OK and go to the Start up tab.

Its more than likely an oldprogram or driver from 98 trying to load. XP is a 32 git operating system and wont load the old 16 bit program/driver. If there are no other problems with the system then I would just ignore it.
