Windows XP Login

i have a problem with my laptop, when i started it up after updating from 98 it has asked me for my password.

now i didnt have a password on my 98 and dont know the password, also there is no password hint,

is there any way i can get round this

Now I have changed the way I log on to Windows XP it also puts up a window shortly after startup asking
for my password. I never set one either so I just
click on the <OK> tab and it continues loading windows. If I switch back to the slow startup it doesn't ask for a password.

Win98 disc comes with a handy utility called 'TweakUI' (User Interface). Search for 'TweakUI.INF' on the CD, and then right click on it and choose "Install".
This program will provide you with customizeable features of Windows, including Icons, startup/shutdown screens, clearing various caches automatically, etc. Very useful :-)
