I run win xp on my main hard drive (ide0). And have recently installed mandrake linux on a smaller drive (ide1). both drives set as master.
during boot up i get a linux boot screen asking which os i want to boot from all fine so far. the problem is when i rplaced the hard drive on ide1 for a drive running my back up xp system.
the pc refuses to boot obviously linux as written an association to my xp hard drive (ide0) and when removed it wont allow it to boot.
can anyone help please? i have had a browse round the registry but cant see an obvious solution. thanks paulj
