Anyone know how to stop Information Pop ups in the System Tray? They are getting on my nerves giving false information: such as not all networked drives connected! when they are.

Right click on taskbar, choose properties, then click on customise. Highlight the one you don't want on display, then from the drop down menu, select "Always hide.

You have 3 choices. Always hide, always show, and hide when inactive. J.

djohn is talking about the wrong things, to get rid of the new xp balloon tips my advice is to download and instal tweakui for xp which gives you the option to turn them off amongst other useful things, djohns tip refers to hiding the system tray icons.
