WINDOWS XP Home Edition Start Up

Is There Any Way To Get Rid Of It.I Tried To Serch For It But It Must Of Been Removed my anti virus deleted it . but windows tryes to find it on boot up, can i stop windows looking for it???

There is a solution click here that involves editing the registry.

"1. go to start-run-regedit.

2. do a search for system32.exe and you should find one that is in a catagory on
the right hand side that says SHELL explorer.exe "system32.exe"

3. edit that string just so it says explorer.exe and then exit regedit and reboot
the machine."

As soon as you do step 1, File/Export and save a copy to the desktop. If things go wrong you can double click this to restore the registry.
