Windows XP with Front Page start to install.

When I start my computer Windows XP with Front Page starts to install. I Have to keep pressing the cancel button on the install menu. If I want Front Page I can load it up from All Programs menu.Is there any way of stopping this trying to install?

I am not sure I understand, Front Page is part of Office, are you sure it is already installed because Office is scheduled to run on startup. You can change this using Start/Run/type msconfig and click on the Start Tab.

Thanks for the reply RAWPAWN. I switched off office as you advised but when I restarted my computer the same thing happened. Am I better reinstalling office XP?

Have you tried letting it complete the installation instead of pressing Cancel?

Yes, the message I get is Error1311. source file not found c:\documents and settings\john kennedy\desktop\newfolder\OFFICE1.CAB
Verify the file exists and that you can access it.

You could run "Detect & Repair" in HELP, but can you locate c:\documents and settings\john kennedy\desktop\newfolder\OFFICE1.CAB and delete it? (To the REcycle Bin)
If that doesn't cure it you can always reinstall
