Windows XP format and reinstal on Mirrored HDD

My aunt has a bootleg copy of windows and wanted a legit version.

I am no stranger to PCs so I offered to get this for her and do a backup format and reinstall for her.

Unfortunatly I am comming into a problem I have not crossed yet.

Her Hard Dirves are mirroed She has 2-20GB hard drives on an Asus Mobo.

When I install using the legit windows xp disk it does not recognize a hard drive at all so I can't format or install.

How can I get the system to ackknoedge the Hard Drive. Do I need a particular driver like when I install SATA drives?

My aunt has ask if possible that I just remove the mirror and give her to seperate drive so she cna now have 40GB. I have attempted to ctrl-F when booting and delete array but it just rebuilds again.

Any input?

Not sure about the mirrored HDDs but you could just change the licensce (key number) on the old version, just use the number from the new one. Saves having to reinstall everything.
