Windows XP & drivers for Scanner

I have just installed Windows XP & my Agfa Snapscan 1212p_2 no longer works. Agfa stopped making these in 2001 and refuses to make any new drivers.

Can any one suggest a solution. Is there another driver that could be used? and if so where might I find it.

Try searching click here

If you can't find XP drivers, Windows 2000 drivers may well work.

Beta drivers for SnapScan 1212-P (without button) on Windows 2000. XP compatible. agfa2000@ftp.agfa.com/software/Public/DTP/ISP_1212-P_v1401.EXE" title="ftp://EndUsra8:agfa2000@ftp.agfa.com/software/Public/DTP/ISP_1212-P_v1401.EXE" TARGET="_new">click here

or sometimes the NT drivers on your cd may work.

Thankyou for all of your useful suggestions but no success so far. Windows 2000 downloaded and installed but I am advised that I must connect scanner, which of course was connected. Also asked to alter a bios setting (in the help notes) to EPP, but this has made my external CD Writer work "crazely.

Found the suggestion to down load version 1,4.0.1 intersting because of installation notes. Have tried for three days, without success, to access the site. I am receiving the message "File download of [ISP_1212P_v1401 exe] was not completed successfully due to unexpected server response
425 Can't build data connection. Operation timed out.
I can and will try to make contact, but any other suggestions please.
