I recently reinstalled windows xp and loaded audio drivers from my asus motherboard disk but I now have a problem, when I try to boot the pc I get the following dos window.

welcome to asus motherboard make disk for dos menu
1 nvidia sata raid
2 nvidia driver page
3 nvidia ahci driver page

freedos command prompt please choose 1-3

how can I get rid of this so windows xp will load normally. I have discovered if I press F8 when I boot I get a bios type window which lets me change from floppy drive to sata disk which then lets windows xp load, but I need to do this every time I boot

I think you should make sure there are no CD's and floppy discs in.

and then boot into BIOS and make your harddrive the first boot device.

let's hope it's that simple and it fixes it. (fingers crossed)

thanks lotvic I followed your advice and removed the asus motherboard disk which was still in the drive and windows xp now loads normally. Seems the disk was looking for some input from me for some reason. now why didn't I think of that!!

glad it's okay, I'll uncross my fingers now :)
