Windows XP 64

A clean up programme has recommended that an upgrade to XP 64 would be a good idea as I have an AMD 64 bit processor, would this be correct, and would my printer and programmes run on it or would I have to replace most of it?

If you are going to pay out to upgrade to XP 64.
Why not check if your computer will run Vista, and upgrade to that.
It makes more sense.

All the best.

I would not recommend upgrading to 64 bit yet - there are many driver issues and very little benefits at the moment.

All hardware requires WHQL drivers before it will work in Vista or XP 64bit , both OS's are VERY fussy , you'll need to check that every component has a WHQL 64bit driver available before installing , and you can't just do an upgrade as far as I know , it has to be a clean install .
