windows x p missing files

am trying to instal an epsom printer , and error comes up that dll files are missing,wen i try and install 2 errors come up . an installable virtual device driver failed, dll intialization. and the system file c win system 32 auto exe file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. running win xp its a 1.3 gh.30 gig hard drive and 256 memory.any help would be appreciated

Hi Firstly are you installing off the CD that came with the printer? if yes then follow these steps:-
1. Switch off printer.
2. Remove any mention of the software relating to
Epson in the Add/Remove.
3. Disconnect the printer from the PC.
4. Reboot (To start with a clean boot)
5. Install software and configure.
6. Connect Printer cable
7. Switch on printer
This should have set the Epson up and ready to print. Alway's switch off the printer before closing down; and conversly only switch it on after the PC has booted.

Give it a try.

Online registration for what? XP_FIX.EXE does not require registration.
