Windows wireless configuration drops out

  Dave K1020 17:20 16 Jun 2008

I have a netgear wireless usb connection to my router. I have the wireless configuration set up so that windows configures it as opposed to the netgear program. The problem I have is that every time I start the computer I have to check the box in 'wireless connection properties' to tell windows to do the configuration. It connects and works but sometimes later drops out. When I go back to the wireless configuration box I find that the box has become unchecked. This box is always unchecked when I initially boot up the computer.

There must be some way to Save the configuration.

I have a wired modem router and, whenever changes are made to the internet connection configuration, these not only have to be OK'd, they also have to be Saved via its System Tools tab.

If not, they revert back to the configuration settings prior to the changes.
