  drybones 11:16 18 Feb 2009

Im having trouble with Windows updates my PC is set to automatically download and install, every time I switch off the same update is being installed KB36181? before that it wasKB54430 on checking I found 36181 had been dowloaded 43 times the other over 30 before I gave up counting, my PC is getting slower is this the cause if so how do I stop it. I have tried turning updates of to no avail it is driving me up the wall, this only started when I changed my Bitdefender 2008 to Bitdefender 2009,the 2008 was in my view better I find 2009 a pain.
Can anyone please help before I pull the last bit of my grey hair out. Thanks for reading this epistle. Drybones

Do a manual Microsoft update. When it appears on the update click the + sign beside it.Another box will open just tick do not show this update again. That will stop it.

This update - KB 890830 was first installed successfully on my XP (MCE) PC on 9JUL, then on: 14Aug,9Sep,15Oct,12Nov,11 Dec, 14 Jan and 12 Feb.Other updates are not installed repeatedly - why this one? They all have a green tick on the update history.
