windows updates - checks

Is there a way that I can check which windows updates I have installed please?
Does it list them somewhere?

having read about turning off system restore will delete updates I wonder if some that I have used have now been deleted - is this a possibility?

Yep, do another Windows Update and look for the Installation History at the bottom... that'll tell you...

Thanks tenplus1

Is there a way I can tell without having to do an update first?

Download and install Belarc Advisor. It will, inter alia, list all the hotfixes that have been applied. click here

If you have XP they will all be listed in Add Remove Programmes which is in control panel.

In XP it lists the hotfixes including the one for the Sasser virus in add/remove programs under control panel. HTH TR
