Windows update icon multiplying in tray.

i am using windows 7.In tray in taskbar windows update iconkeeps multiplying to hundreds and thousands.If i move mouse cursor over an icon,it disappeared automatically.in order to make disappeared ,i move mouse cursor over those icons.I dont know whether it virus or malware,anyway someone please help me to wipe out these problems.

If you are set to receive Automatic Updates try turning them OFF. Go to Control Panel - Windows Updates - Change Settings - Change to Download updates but let me choose whether to install them. This may help.
