Windows temporary files

Windows temporary files : can someone tell me are you supposed to delete these files periodicly.

You can do so without any harm. If they are in use Windows will prevent you from deleting.You can place them in the recycle bin first if you want to be totally safe.

In theory, if all apps are doing a good job, and assuming your PC never crashes, then they should be automatically deleted in the normal course of business. Therefore, periodically you can delete them.

Sometimes Windows will complain that it can't delete a file as it is open so to avoid this, delete all files more then a week old.
