Windows takes ages to respond

  Dazwm 18:27 06 Jun 2003

When I start up my computer it takes ages to respond. It gets to the desktop and takes a good minute to a minute and a half before it will let me do anything. It then loads little icons at the bottom right hand side and then I am away.

I have tried msconfig and made start up programs to a minimum but to no avail.

I am running XP Pro

Please help

if bootvis doesnt hangs on optomizing you will need to enable schedueled tasks in administrativetools/services.

run disc clean up,defrag and chkdsk then run bootvis after.
