Windows Sync Folders on home network across users

  tavyabe 12:31 11 Feb 2015

I have 3 pcs and 1 laptop in the family home. All connected by gigabit network. There are 2 users: M and N - each computer is set up the same:

  • 2 windows users, M and N
  • M's files (mydocs, desktop etc) are stored in M:/M/ and N's files are in N:/N/

My goal is to keep their folders synced across all machines (total data around 200GB so don't want to pay for onedrive/googledrive). So that whatever machine we use and whoever is logged in their desktop files, my docs, pics etc are all the most recent version.

What is the best solution to keep the folders updated and in sync regardless of who is logged on to which machine? I also have a NAS drive if that helps.

Many thanks
