windows sp3

Can someone please help. Windows SP3 is not recognised by my isp so to get support I must remove sp3 and revert to sp2. I tried to get ms windows to do this but failed. Please help me remove service pack 3. liza

Uninstall information for the Windows XP SP3 Release Candidate
To uninstall Windows XP SP3, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
2. Click Change or Remove Programs.
3. Click Windows XP Service Pack 3 (936929), and then click Remove.
4. Restart the computer.

I can't understand your ISP even caring what version you have.

It's the browser you use, that does the work.
That has nothing whatsoever to do with the operating system.

I will try the steps you so kindly advise. Re why isp is interested. Well it advises to let it know when sp2 update has been installed, when I said mine's sp3 and not sp2 it said never heard of sp3 maybe its BETA so get ms windows to remove it.

The only possible relevance which I can think of is if your ISP is also your security provider.

Never heard of an ISP asking this,i wouldent even consider tellig them as its nothing to do with them,what if you were using Firefox,Opera etc?
