Windows services lost after safe mode

I had a bit of a problem, and went into safe mode to fix it. I changed msconfig in safe mode, and now most of the windows services are gone, soU cannot, for example, access the internet or use the normal windows XP theme.

Does anyone know how to get them back? I've tried adding windows services in add/remove programs and that hasn't worked...

Thanks in advance...

Back into safemode and MSCONFIG;

Have you untick everything under services ? if so,retick them.

Also check if you have chaged the startup to Diagnostic startup,change this back to Normal or Selective.

Start - run - type services.msc - press OK

Scroll down to the ones you require click properties and make sure the start box is set to Automatic or manual rather than disable, click Start to start them immediately.

I assume you’re running XP or Vista so try restoring the system to an earlier date.

skidzy, I've done this and it all looks good :D

However, I still haven't worked out how to get it to connect to the internet - i'm plugged into the router I use (my computer isnt connected wirelessly) and I cant work out how to get it to connect to my home network.. anyone able to help?
