Windows Networking Disable Error messages

I have a windows 98 pc connected to a network. I have mapped 2 drives on another networked computer. If this computer is switched off or slow starting the Windows 98 computer stops loading windows and produces error messages:-
Restoring network connections connecting to X and The following error occurred while connecting to x ..... Do you want to restore this connection the next time you log on? How can I disable these messages for the mapped drives so Windows 98 will keep loading automatically without stopping?
