When i go on line, i keep getting a window come up saying "A newer version is available. you must install the newer version in order to continue. would you like to do this now?"
I don't use it, so i don't want to update, any ideas how to stop this from keep coming up, it's very annoying!

You need to uninstall Windows messenger. It is difficult to remove, but it can be done. Check out click here

diddi.ash - if you use this download could you please post back? I'd really like to know how you got on.

You don't actually need a download.

Start, Run, type or paste in

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection\%windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

I too keep getting this although I have a newer version than that which I am being advised to update to...How do I stop the pop up appearing for good, rather than just check it to ask me in a week's time ? I am using MSN Messenger 6.2.
