Everytime i try to stream a online radiostation it buffers and media player says its playing but no sound comes out of my speakers. But when i use itunes etc. everything plays and sounds as normal?

I have tried a lot of different websites and its always the same results looks to be streming but isnt!

I am using windows xp and media player 11 everything is fully updated from microsoft updates on there sites!

Anyone have any Ideas?

Many Thanks

From WMP11's Tools>Options>Devices>highlight your speakers>Properties.

Check out the configuration in the various tabs to ensure that your Default Audio Device is being used; ensure too that from the File Types tab all file types are Enabled.

Also try downloading the standard K-Lite codecs pack from:

Again, from Options>Network tab, tick the first three boxes on the left (not Use Port) and also the Allow the Player to Receive multicast streams.
