When i use media player 9 to compile a cd it only records the 1st track onto the cd then closes the disc. Several other people i know have had the same problem. is it a bug or is there something i can do about it. i get a message about it altering the record speed but this makes no difference

Have you tried :- Open your 'My Music' Folder, hold down Ctrl key and left click on the tracks in the order you want them on CD. On the left Menu - Left click Copy to Audio CD ?

There is an update for WMP9 on the MS website. Not sure if it is what you are after but IIRC its to do with copying.
