Windows Media Player (Insert CD)

Hi, Could some one please help!!! For some reason when I put a cd in the D drive, It won't automatically play!!!

It normally came up with the 'Window Media Player'

Any advice I would be grateful

Thanks for getting back Raven!! I tried what you said, but no joy!!! Would there be a setting in the 'Windows Media Player' or the 'D Drive'????

right click on your D drive>properties>autoplay>select the file type music etc >select action to perform and select media player from the list > apply >ok

try from regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom
check what the value is 0=off 1=on
Also burning software can put another value/entry called noautorun or similar.
To be honest Rosalie86,most people prefer to have autoplay off,and if its not one the fixes already tried, it can be a bit of a mare to sort.

You may be quicker doing a SFC /scannow system file check.
Hopefully someone else will be able to give further advice
