Windows Media Player Error

I have just installed Broadband and the results are great, however I tried to play a track of music which is on my hard drive and I got the message "The RPC server is unavailable". Any ideas please.

check control panel/administrative tools/services

find "remote procedure call" double click and set to automatic start up.

find rpc locator and set to manual.

restart the computer.

also check you are all up to date with windows updates, service pks etc click here

Thanks huggyg71. That solved the player problem but I continually get a System shutting down message because the RPC terminated unexpectedly.
Anything else I should be doing?
