Windows Media Player

On opening Media Player, found that all albums had disappeared and message said there were no albums in the Library. On clicking on Music Library in the Start Menu, there were all my albums. I tried to put two more albums into Media Player, they did not go in. What is happening as the last time I used it, things were OK.

if you are storing your music on an additional external backup disk then the drive letter may have changed, I had this problem and had to reset the drive letter in options in media player.

Hope this may be of some help.

I am not using external hard disk. I tried System Restore. No luck.

I'm using Windows 7 OS system

W7 uses media player 12 so I would try the methods in link above and see if that deletes and rebuilds the index correctly.

I's safe to do and I have used it myself in the past on Vista.

Tried the link. How do I select Run in Windows 7, please. My manual doesn't give instructions. Thanks
