I have downloaded a small video clip which I have been watching over past 2 days.Today I tried to play it but I got the following message:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If the problem persists, the server might not be available.

I have made all the necessary adjustments as asked of me,what else can be wrong. Help! Thanks

Can you actually see the clip in Explorer? or was Mediaplayer running this clip from a temporary internet file - in which case, being temporary, it may have been deleted.

Probably running from a temporary internet file, I should have saved it?

Yes you should have - next time right-click, save-as and then choose a place. You can't do this in the case of Streaming video and please be cautious in respect of virus'.
