Older computer has dual boot via two hard drives
running WME and WXP since replacing the HD running WME the splash screen only shows for less than a second then your left with a blank screen till your desktop appears is there anyway of increasing the display time?
This is no big deal but just get on my nerves with the blank screen.

The splash screen should only be displayed while Windows is loading. In Win9x/Me, it displays as it begins to load Windows' basic drivers, disappears while Windows runs through the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files, then reappears while the rest of the drivers are loaded. The screen schould go blank (to change monitor screens) then the desktop/login box should appear.

You can switch the splash screen off by editing the C:\MSDOS.SYS file and adding the line Logo=0 (or editing it if it says Logo=1), but you cannot delay the logo in any way as far as I know.
