I use my Virginmedia e-mail address on Windows Live mail so you should have no problems.

Now if it is only live mail you have to click install and eventually it will give you the chance to download what you want.
if you only want e-mail just untick everything else.
I downloaded messenger with mine but preffered the older version of messenger.

It is straightforward to add existing POP3 emails to Live Mail, just look for Accounts and add each one in turn. I have just started using the new LiveMail 2011 and it has a tab for Accounts.

Thanks all.Just one other point I notice in windows live mail there is no icon in the toolbar for send/rev as there in OE6 is that possible in wlm.
Thanks once again.

Try the sync button in the tool bar.

You can add to toolbar by clicking
View
Layout
Customize Toolbar

To add select them in the left-hand pane & then click the add button in between the panes.

Yes you can customize the Toolbar - but not with a send/receive button. As TonyV says use sync. Or you can just press F5 to check for mail.

If you use the new 2011 version the Send/Receive is standard on the ribbon.

You are correct - it won't work with any version of XP
