Windows Live Mail and Outlook Express link?

I did not use Outlook Express. From a new XP Pro sp2 install I then added Live Mail.
Every time I start Live Mail it suggests that OE is not my default, do I wish to make it so.
On replying No I then receive a window Internet Connection Wizard that is trying to set up an email account presumably in OE because I have my accounts in Live mail.
On cancelling that window I get 'do you want to exit the wizard?'
On replying Yes, Live Mail starts and all is OK.
If I remove the tick to check every time, the first part does not happen but the latter does.
This happens every time and is irritating to say the least.
I removed the tick for check every time and I simply get the wizard each time.

I haven't much hair left to pull out, please save what is left.

Thank you lotvic, but it is already set as default, by using the Live Mail Options.

lotvic, you have in fact solved it indirectly and thank you.
The mail was indeed set to Live Mail but newsgroups were set to OE.
Thanks again lotvic!!!
