My sister has recently installed Windows Live Mail on her new Windows 7 computer.Everything is running well, except that she's just emailed me to ask why WLM has an empty Sent Items folder (even though she's already sent dozens of emails).I've told her to look through Tools>Options to see whether there's an option to enable storage of Sent Items, but she can't find anything.Any ideas why WLM is not storing her sent emails, please?
You have to find your way to mail and make sure and make sure you have save copy of sent messages in the sent items folder. It will come under send.make sure the box is ticked and you press apply.
I should have added almost top left there is an icon when you put the mouse pointer on will say windows live mail and it will have a down arrow press on that then on options then on mail then on send.
In WLM Tools menu - Options - Send tab - tick box beside "Save copy of sent messages in the Sent items folder" - click Apply and OK.
Thanks very much to you both. I've passed that advice on to my sister. She's not exactly computer-literate, so she probably didn't recognise that option.
