hi i installed win7 and transfered my outlook express email to windows live can i reverse the procedure i.e. win live to outlook express thanks kirrioejim

No, Outlook Express is incompaible with W7. I use Outlook 2007.

Whatever you do, make a backup of your OE folder, so you can restore it if ever you needed to.

In a WinXP system it can be found here by default: C:\Documents and Settings\[your profile username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{BC9141D6-CAFB-4BF6-98C0-87734E11D507}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

The {BC9141D6-CAFB-4BF6-98C0-87734E11D507} directory will be different in your system, but you cannot miss it as it's the only folder in Identities.

Outlook costs money, so use Thunderbird (Tb) if you cannot get on with Windows Live & need a freebie similar to OE - click here to download. FAQs wrt Win7 click here.

Tb will import OE messages from an OE backup, so you can have all your messages in Tb running in Win7. G
