Windows Genuine Advantage Kit

I have been askd by a friend of mine, if it would be possible for him to reinstall the Windows Xp if he does upgraded the system in future.
He has received the new key and CD from Microsoft for £92.00 which he has installed and very happy about it.

His system was built for him with Windows XP Pro pre installed.

I am not sure about it myself. Can anybody else shed a light on this subject Please?

I would hope so! Providing he is upgrading the existing computer of course. Having been charged £92 by Microsoft they surely can`t want any more to validate the system if say you had to replace the Hard Disk Drive because of failure.

Thanks for your quick response. Let us wait if anybody else have to add to it.
