Windows Firewall problem

Not so much as a problem, more of an enquiry.

I have a new PC running Windows XP sp2, so obviously it has its own Firewall installed. However, I have previously been using Norton Firewall and would like to carry on doing so. Would this cause a conflict with Windows built-in one.

it probably would. the best way is to diseble the windows one. you really dont need to run two firewalls on one comp.

I wouldn't recommend using both at the same time, if you're happy with what you already use then just disable the Windows one from control panel.

Continue with Norton, disable windows firewall. Norton will stop Trojans from communicating but windows firewall will not! Windows will stop hackers getting hacking but not stop outgoing traffic, it is as much use as a chocholate fireguard!
