help!!!!!
I am running vista home premium on a sony vaio ar41e laptop and recently when i try to access my c drive or my user folders windows explorer shuts down and then restarts. I am able to access the same folders from the toolbar on the task bar, but only if I access spacific folders. It only seems to be the main user folders on C drive that are affected by this problem.I have scoured the net and there seems to be a hell of a lot of people out there with similar problems and there also seems to be a variaty of fixes also. The vast majority seem to be poeple not being able to access IE7, but mine seems to only be when I try and access my main user folders.
can anyone out there offer a solution to my problem.
thanks

have you tryed a system restore

  brundle 21:59 03 Oct 2007

System Restore is worth a try, otherwise get AgentRansack (click here), search
C:\users\(your account name) for

desktop.ini

Select them all and delete them. Any better?

Try the free download Crap Cleaner from click here a very efficient program which has the ability to clear issues and conflicts in the registry. It's safe and easy to use. It's worth a try. It also gets rid of the useless data trail which Windows leaves behind after every session and generally keeps your computer clear of dross which might be interfering.
