Windows Defender and AVG 8.0 free edition both keep turning off. I can turn defender on again, but not AVG, I have to uninstall it and reinstall it again. This has just started to happen in the last month, until then AVG worked great. Are they not compatible and would it work if I turned Windows Defender off. I also use Sana Security, and they all worked fine together until recently. I have Windows Vista Home Basic. Please help this is driving me mad. I did consider buying AVG but it may not cure the problem.

AVG & Defender should be compatible but we're more than the average number of AVG issues here lately. Try Avast instead. click here
You'll be adding rootkit, network & instant messenger protection with Avast - AVG free has none of those.

I'd never heard of Sana before but the FAQs state it should work alongside any current antivirus program you have installed.
