Windows crashing during Backup

  Tabvla 18:32 27 Mar 2006

Athlon 64 3200+ XP Pro SP2 Twin SATA disks assigned as drives C: and D: Windows Backup utility

When I backup C: to D; the backup continues normally until almost the end at which time Windows crashes and the PC reboots. The reboot appears normal. On Logon the Message re "Windows has recovered from a serious error...etc... " appears.

Running chkdsk with the /f or /r switches does not report any errors.

AntiVirus and Spyware detectors report a clean system. Everything seems OK. Windows and all Programs work as normal. All data files seem intact.

The only problem of course is that I cannot create a complete Backup as it crashes just prior to finishing.

Any thoughts?
