hello all,is windows 98 se available as a free upgrade from 98? or do you have to buy a complete 98 se disc?thanks all.peter.

No and no.

98SE upgrade discs can be found resonably cheaply (relatively speaking where MS is concerned) from computer fairs/ebay or local classified ads. That said, if your PC spec is up to it the price of XP won't be too much more.

If you can afford XP don't hesitate; it's a different world with rock steady stability, the end of those infamous blue screens and far superior versatility.
