Windows 7 zip files

I would like to try Windows 7 RC on my spare pc.
I have downloaded the files to my spare drive on my home PC but am not sure how to unzip and to burn onto a DVD.
I dont want it to try and load to existing PC.
I always have problems with Win-zip.
At the moment the files are in D:\ XXXXXXXXX
Do I unzip to the same drive and then burn from that.

If you have downloaded the Win 7 RC from Microsoft then you have downloaded an ISO file which dosen't need unzipped like a zip file does. What you now need to do is burn it to DVD using a suitable CD/DVD burning program such as Nero, MagicISO,Imgburn.Free programs available from include ISOBuster and Active ISO Burner. Follow the instructions of the program you download to create a Windows 7 DVD installation disc. Then its a case of install on your pc.Remember to back up any important data etc that you need as it will be lost when you install the new OS, unless you are creating a multi-boot system in which case you need to install onto a seperate partition on your HDD..
