Windows 7 64bit and wireless network drivers?!

  cheerup347 23:29 01 May 2010

Just managed to reinstall my evaluation copy with a full copy of Windows 7. First thing I did was install the motherboard drivers/chipset etc.

Went to install my netgear wireless adapter and its not recognising the device. It says "WLAN USB 2.0" driver is missing.

I've downloaded and installed all the chipset/USB drivers for my motherboard model but still it isnt working.

I've tried to "update the driver" and searched on the netgear disc and my motherboard disc but it isn't working.

This is becoming so frustrating so any help would be great!

Have you checked DEVICE Manager - Network Adapters - see if your adapter is listed ?

You need to find the drivers for your wireless network card or device.

What motherboard/network card do you have?
