This may seem a simple problem but I can't figure it out. I have a laptop which has Win 2000 on it and I want to reformat the disk and install XP. The problem is that it has no access to a floppy disk so I can't use my windows boot disk. Can anyone help, please

Set the BIOS to boot from CD drive as first boot device and start the machine with the XP cd in the drive.

It will then run set up and you will be given the option to format the partition and install XP.
